PARTY ACTIVITIES !

At My Party Parcel we like to have fun. We have had our party testers in the Fun Factory
working day and night to test some activities for your party.

Here's what they have come up with so far!

CHRISTMAS - IT'S A WRAP

Organise the children into small teams of 4 or 5 and in straight lines at one end of the party room.

Opposite each teams line at the other end of the room place lots of ripped up, torn pieces of wrapping paper in varying sizes, a plain sealed box and lots of pre-cut cellotape.

Between each team, their box & paper, place a large rug or duvet.

The children should take it in turns to leave their line, crawl under the rug/duvet and once at their box, stick a peice of wrapping paper to their parcel before returning to their teams for the next child to go.

The winning team will be the first team to successfully completely cover their box in wrapping paper.

It's always a good idea to allocate a parent to each team to assist in the activity.

PIRATE TREASURE HUNT

Place some Pirate Gold Coins around the garden / party venue. Split the children into small teams and organise a parent to look after each team. Give each team a name E.G. 'The Jolly Pirates' or 'The Black Beards'.

The children should work there way around the party venue in different directions looking for as many gold coins as possible in their teams. If they can't find many the parent looking after them can give their team some helpful clue's as to where they might be, so everybody gets some success.

All the teams should get together after 5mins to see which team has managed to find the most.

PRINCESS / BRATZ FASHION SHOW

Prior to your party gather together some bin liners, ribbon, streamers, stickers, glue, tissue paper, glitter pens and other craft materials. Organise some bin liners and cut a large hole at the top for the head and a hole either side of the bin liner for the arms.

Organise your party guests into small teams of 4/5. Give each team a similar number of craft materials and one bin liner. Give each team a fashion theme to create E.G. 'Eveing Dress' or 'Disco Dancer'.

The teams should use all their craft materials to turn the bin liner into a brilliant work of fashion art, by adding bows, glitter, ribbon etc.

At the end of the party, one member from each group, with the help from a parent, can dress in the fashion masterpiece and model it on the catwalk in the middle of the room, whilst all the other guests clap and cheer.

PINATA FUN

Pinata's are a great way to end your party. Pinata's are made of papier-mache and come in various shapes and designs.

Fill your Pinata full of sweets or Pinata Filler Toys. Suspend your Pinata from either a tree or ceiling with string/rope. Make sure their is lots of room around your Pinata, and certainly no valuable china.

Create an area some distance away from the Pinata for all the children to safely stand in. The children should, one at a time, enter the Pinata Zone, and using a Pinata Buster or broomstick, should take it in turns to bash the Pinata to try and break it open. To make the activity more challenging you could use a blindfold.

Eventually the Pinata will break open, allowing all the treats to fall to the ground for the children to grab and take home.

HALLOWEEN 'GUESS THE GHOST'

Sit the children down in one area of the party venue. Organise one large sheet in preperation for the activity.

Choose 3 children at a time to come and stand in front of all the other children and ask them to one at a time make their best and loudest ghost noise.

Take the 3 children out of the room hidden from the rest of the group and choose one of the 3 children to come back in the room hidden under the sheet. Make sure you help themsafely back in the room.

Ask the child hidden under the sheet to make their loudest ghost noise again and the rest of the children should try and guess who is the ghost under the sheet.

Repeat the game with different children taking it in turns to hide.
