COLOUR MIX CODES
Primary Colours
Red, Yellow & Blue
Primary Colour Mixes
Red + Yellow = Orange
Yellow + Blue = Green
Blue + Red = Purple
By mixing varying amounts of the 3 primary colours together, you get different colours of Brown.
By mixing varying amounts of Black and White together, you can get different shades of Grey
Darkening & Lightening
Adding White to any colour
will lighten it.
Adding Black to any colour
will Darken it.

FACE PAINTING TIPS
Keep the children steady by resting one hand on their head whilst painting your designs.
Keep the make up away from their eyes.
Apply the base colour first with a barely damp sponge. If the sponge is too wet it will give a streaky effect.
If your design has lighter and darker colours, apply the lighter ones first. The make-up can be mixed to provide new colours.
Keep designs simple, remembering that children find it difficult to sit still.
Not all children will want to be face painted, however always describe to the children what you are doing to re-assure them.
Don't be too ambitious with your designs. A simple moyif is often excited enough for children, and remember you will have lots of faces to paint, so the more simple the quicker they can be done.
