So it’s party month again, already, and project party is about to get underway. Not only is it really important to ensure everything is right for the big day, but party competition is fierce amongst parents and children. If invitations don’t go out soon enough, diary dates are booked up with other children’s parties, if you don’t invite the whole class plus other friends from clubs will anyone get upset, having invited everybody, how many people will actually attend and if the party bag isn’t as good as the one your child came back with from last weeks party will anyone notice, and more importantly where is the best place to buy all my necessary children’s party supplies. These questions alone are enough to create panic amongst even the most efficient party organiser. But the biggest question of all in these difficult times is, ‘How Much Should My Party Cost’? The answer is simply, not as much as you think. With more and more parents choosing to hold there parties at home to avoid additional venue hire fees, the children’s party supplies industry average spend is as little as £35.00. So what does £35.00 get you? Typically to organise your party at home your basic party parcel would include themed tableware including plates, cups, napkins and table covers to protect your dining room table, remembering to add a few extra for the parents who, when arriving at the end of the party are sure to help clear the table of any left over food. Then there are the all important party bags. The average number of party bag fillers is only 3 items, with maybe an additional sweet and room for a piece of cake wrapped in the themed napkin for your guests to take home. All of this can easily be achieved for less than the average £35.00. We have lots of information online to assist with your party organising with information and advice on party activities and planning for the important day. So with everything considered, party time can be both fun and affordable, so sit back, order early and enjoy the big day, and don’t forget the batteries for the camera to capture all the memories. The process of party organising can be a daunting affair for parents. The children’s party supplies market has grown significantly over the last few years and so has, so it seems the number of parties in a child’s weekend calendar. The regular weekend trip to another school friends house, community hall or Leisure Centre seemingly never ends, and nor does the volume of party bags and party bag fillers that come back from these weekend events. So when getting dangerously close to your turn to plan the party, the question has to be asked, ’What Should I Put in My Childs Party Bags’. There is a huge ranges of party bag fillers and toys ranging from 10p to £10, so when deciding what to put into the bags and what to spend can be a tricky process. Here are a few tips to consider when putting your party bags together. 1 - The typical number of items that go into a party bag is 4, so there is no need to go over board. 2 - If you are having a themed party, you will often find that the themed party bag fillers are more expensive as they are a licensed product so why not choose just 1 or 2 themed items to place in the bag including themed bubbles or stickers. 3 - Non-themed party bag fillers are a lot cheaper and often come in packs of 12 items which means you can buy more for less. 4 - Sweets are a fun party bag filler however with allergies more prevalent these days, you need to carefully consider if this is the best option. 5 - At the end of the party add a piece of the party cake wrapped in the themed party napkin which will certainly fill the bag up with a great treat for the drive home. A fantastic party bag can cost as little as £1.00 per bag and creates a farewell treat for the children attending the party. So remember, no need to break the bank, just be creative. 'IT'S A WRAP' Opposite each teams line at the other end of the room place lots of ripped up, torn pieces of wrapping paper in varying sizes, a plain sealed box and lots of pre-cut cellotape. Between each team, their box & paper, place a hoop, large sheet or duvet. The children should take it in turns to leave their line, crawl under the sheet/duvet or put the hoop over their head and once at their box, stick a peice of wrapping paper to their parcel before returning to their teams and high five the next person in the line for the next child to go. The winning team will be the first team to successfully completely cover their box in wrapping paper. It's always a good idea to allocate a parent to each team to assist in the activity. For grown up party fun why not replace the box with a party guest. The winning team is the team with the best wrapped person! Click here to follow us on Twitter!
